There was a time around four months ago (roughly) when it looked like we'd be without an organiser and it'd all fall through. Then Nicky stepped in and offered to take charge. Then Rich and Tony played key roles nearer the date of the show and it all came off very well. This year we had some camping available which is pretty unsual for the Old Wolf and we even charged an entry fee - another first. But it was only a pound and we didn't go round with the bucket this year so people were probably let off lightly!
Our charity this year was the Slough & District Sports Association for Disabled (SADSAD). SADSAD provided us with the venu which is their club house. It's a good cause and it's very under-funded so we were pleased to help raise £750 for them with profits from their bar and a donation from the the show. We also gave a £250 cheque to MAG UK to help them represent riders interests to the government.
We were very happy with the venu and hope to have it again next year.
Single entrance made charging for entry easy. (Thanks to Ken, Debbie, Keith, Mark, Alex, Jim, Sharon etc. for looking after it)Nobody took any pictures of Womble doing his Rock Disco but we assure you, he was there!
