Euro demo was not assumed as expected by the motorradfahrern
To the euro demo against motorcycle-hostile laws to 29. August 1998 in Bonn fewer user appeared, than after the experiences of the last years were expected. In the euro demos in Brussels 1996 and in Paris 1994 about in each case 20,000 motorcycles participated. In this year only approx. 7,000 persons were counted, who used the unique opportunity to briefly show before the election to the Bundestag its agreement and strength.
Karl Heinz long, which regarded the speech as the motorcycle initiative Germany, stressed the necessity that both at Germany, and at Europe all must hold together inside, in order to refer the legislators clearly to their problems. With old vehicle regulations, road construction and clothing regulations the unawareness of the legislative forces shows up again and again over motorcycle-specific conditions. In the process of its speech it burned symbolically the report design motorcycle and environment of the BMU Rojektgruppe. Expressions in this paper, like z. B. "... " it shows the increase of the stock of the motorized two-wheelers, their company also in formerly calm recovery landscapes, their accumulated use at sunning and holidays very clearly that tendency is to be made here against all motorized two-wheeled motor vehicles.
The explosiveness of such expressions does not seem to be clear the motorradfahrern.
As consequence of this lack of interest unfortunately also
the Camp was not visited in cock so strongly, as it would have been
necessary for the financing the euro demo.
The aligning MID member federations BVDM,
Biker's Cooperation, Biker union, kuhle Wampe and the federation more
like a Christian inside had to accept dangerous high financial losses,
which bring them to z. T. close to the bankruptcy.
The motorcycle protection of interests in Germany will
possibly need long time, in order to recover from it.
The MID asks therefore all, which would like to help at least
subsequently to limit the damage for donations.
