Windsor MAG sign up MP Windsor MAG have pulled off a bit of a coup in signing up the Labour MP for Slough Fiona Mactaggart.
Ms Mactaggart attended a local group meeting of 45 bikers where the government's relationship with bikers was discussed and a range of transport policy questions aired, most notably the role of motorcycles within an integrated transport strategy.
This was the group's second meeting with the MP and they are hopeful of the liaison helping to forge a closer relationship between MAG and the government. Windsor MAG hope that more MAG groups will follow their example and get their MPs signed up.
Windsor & District MAG have a bit of a reputation as a party group rather than a feverishly active political one, but this effort proves they haven't forgotten what MAG is really all about.
The membership of Windsor & District feel that a blend of social and political themes helps to keep the meetings interesting and maintain high attendances. 'All work and no play' and all that. The group can be found Tuesday evenings at the Dedworth Arms (see 'Meets.')
